Next Election: November 2018 DescriptionCounty Court judges are elected county-wide for a six year term. HistoryWhen a judge leaves his or her bench and creates an opening, there are usually several people willing to run for the position. Sitting judges, who must stand for re-election every six years on the other hand are rarely challenged. This year, of the 8 County Court judge seats that would be on the ballot, 6 are uncontested and so their occupants have won by default. These are Judges Sandra Bosso-Pardo (Group 1), Ted Booras (Group 2), Edward Garrison (Group 6), Leonard Hanser (10), Sherri L. Collins (Group 18), and Frank Castor (Group 19). Demographics
As no one candidate got over 50% in this race, the top two (Ashley Zuckerman and Allegra Fung) will participate in a runoff on the November ballot. |
