Description

The Port of Palm Beach District covers the area between Donald Ross Road and Southern Boulevard, from the ocean to Lake Okeechobee - approximately 50% of Palm Beach County. All five elected commissioners, divided into groups, must live within this district and all five are voted on by all registered voters living in this district (at-large), for a four year term.

Background

Waldron joined the Board in January 2017. She received an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University. A resident of Palm Beach County since 2002, Waldron was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and currently resides in West Palm Beach.

After Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the Caribbean, she co-founded Palm Beach County Cares, an organization created to collect and provide donated supplies and monies for the rebuilding of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A steward for the environment, Waldron has three adult children: Mary Kate, who resides in Connecticut, and Joseph and Luke, who reside in Washington, D.C.
