Local Gov

15th Circuit Court Group 30

Next Election: August 2020

Description

Circuit Court judges are elected county-wide for a six year term.

History

When a judge leaves his or her bench and creates an opening, there are usually several people willing to run for the position. Sitting judges, who must stand for re-election every six years on the other hand are rarely challenged. This year, of the 11 15th Circuit Court judge seats that would be on the ballot, 9 are uncontested and so their occupants have won by default. These are Judges Rosemarie Scher (Group 5), Gerard Joseph Curley (Group 8), Gregory Keyser (Group 12), James Nutt (Group 20), Carolyn Ruth Bell (Group 21), Glenn D. Kelley (Group 27), Samantha Feuer Schosberg (Group 32), Karen Miller (Group 34) and Charles E. Burton (Group 35).
