Description

The Port of Palm Beach District covers the area between Donald Ross Road and Southern Boulevard, from the ocean to Lake Okeechobee - approximately 50% of Palm Beach County. All five elected commissioners, divided into groups, must live within this district and all five are voted on by all registered voters living in this district (at-large), for a four year term.

INCUMBENT

Background

Ciklin joined the Board in 1977 as its youngest Commissioner. He holds a degree from Muskingum University in Ohio, and he did postgraduate studies at the New York Institute of Finance. Ciklin brings the Board broad-based knowledge and experience in both investment banking and financial management. He remains strongly focused on the maintenance of standards for financial oversight at the Port. A resident of Palm Beach County since 1967, Ciklin has a wife, Michelle, and daughter, Hayley. He was unopposed in 2018
